Job summary

Pho 4 U Ltd. based in London, ON is seeking a self-motivated Cook with strong interpersonal skills. Start date is as soon as possible. This is a permanent, full-time position with day/evening/weekend/morning/flexible shifts.

The successful candidate will prepare meals, handle dietary requirements, train staff, place orders, manage inventories, and oversee kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant setting in London, Ontario.

Qualifications

  • Fluent English required.
  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • 1–2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.
  • Cook for customers with allergies or intolerances.
  • Plan menus, portion sizes, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor supplies.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking and handling.
  • Place orders for supplies and equipment; supervise kitchen staff.

  • The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals as well as individual dishes and foods.
  • The candidate must prepare dishes for customers who have food allergies or intolerances.
  • The candidate must prepare and cook special meals for patients as directed by a dietitian or chef.
  • The candidate must plan menus, determine food portion sizes, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.
  • The candidate will be required to inspect kitchens and food service areas.
  • The candidate will be expected to train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling.
  • The candidate will be expected to place orders for supplies and equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff and assistants.
  • The candidate must keep inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • The candidate must clean the kitchen and work areas.
  • The candidate will be expected to recruit and hire employees.
  • The candidate must organise and manage buffets and banquets.
  • The candidate will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations.
