Job summary

Next Youth Job is seeking a full-time kitchen worker in Prince George, BC. The role pays 18.25–20.00 CAD per hour for 35–40 hours per week, with start date as soon as possible.

Location is on-site in an urban fast food setting. Typical hours are 10:00 to 18:00. Responsibilities include cooking, inventory, staff supervision, and ensuring food safety. Criminal record check required. On-site parking available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in a kitchen or food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• Prepare and cook special meals as instructed by dietitian or chef.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
• Order supplies and equipment.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Clean kitchen and work areas.
• Manage kitchen operations.
