Job summary

Old Port Pub & Grill in Dartmouth is seeking an experienced line cook to join our busy kitchen. You will prepare and cook meals, determine portion sizes and costs, and help maintain a clean, organized workstation.

This on-site role requires 7 months to less than 1 year of kitchen experience, safety awareness with a Safe Food Handling certificate, and the ability to work under pressure. You will train staff and ensure consistent quality for diners.

Qualifications

  • 7 months to less than 1 year kitchen experience.
  • On-site work at a restaurant in Dartmouth.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate required.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
