We have an opening for a Controls and Instrumentation Technician.This is a permanent position based out of our Windsor, Nova Scotia facility.

As a Controls and Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance duties as assigned by the Superintendent, Maintenance or designate. You will install, calibrate, and commission electrical and mechanical equipment as required.

What The Role Looks Like:

  • Performing and maintaining calibration program in a qualified state.
  • Installing and maintaining instrumentation/electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshooting process control system.
  • Assisting in programing PLC to correct system issues.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and correcting operational/maintenance issues.
  • Maintaining IO, motor lists and any other documentation as required for efficient system operation.
  • Assisting in pricing equipment and consumables for capital equipment.
  • Assigning and scheduling maintenance

What You will Bring to the Team:

  • Previous experience in an industrial environment
  • Strong PLC programming skills would be an asset
  • 3 years’ instrumentation experience would be an asset.
  • Post secondary education in Instrumentation or an Electrical, Mechanical or Electronics Technician trade
  • Licensed/registered Industrial Electrician would be an asset
  • Red Seal Instrumentation or a Degree in Instrumentation would be an asset
