The Finance Group Global Inc. provides outsourced finance and accounting services across North America. We service businesses across all industries by managing the company finance function through Bookkeeping, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Analysis, Reporting, Compliance, and Strategic financial planning.

Position Summary :

The Controller oversees the financial operations of client companies. The ideal candidate will supervise a team of accountants and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements according to client mandates.

Key Responsibilities and Duties :

• Manage the clients’ accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry and reconciliations.
• Manage cash flow, including forecasting and budgeting to maintain liquidity.

Strategic Financial Planning :

• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights for decision-making.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements.
• Support long-term business goals through strategic planning.

Regulatory Compliance :

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and laws.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage audits.
• Maintain records for internal and external reporting.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to protect assets.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and applicable laws for financial and tax reporting.

Leadership and Team Collaboration :

• Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop staff, setting objectives and evaluating results.
• Provide analytical support for internal management reporting.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures.

Special Projects :

• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses.
• Participate in special finance-related projects.
