Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is recruiting for a Controller position in the Cambridge/Kitchener/Waterloo area. The client is a growing manufacturing company seeking a hands-on leader who can translate finance to non-finance staff across plant, operations and warehouse teams.

Reporting to the owner and part of the leadership team, you will manage multiple projects, supervise a small team, and interact with vendors and customers.

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent.
• 10+ yrs of progressive full cycle accounting experience, preferably autonomous or in a small team.
• 3+ yrs in a management or supervisory role.
• Construction or related manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Full cycle project accounting including cash applications, accounts payable and PO maintenance.
• Management of project expenses.
• Inventory calculations.
• Month end accounting and variance analysis reports including P&L per project.
• Cash flow management including bank reconciliations.
• HST returns.

About The Role
Reporting directly to the business owner, and part of the Leadership team, your strengths will be speaking finance to non finance plant, operations, and warehouse staff. You will love multi-tasking, wearing many hats and a variety in your day-to-day work. You will manage relationships and have frequent interactions with other company leaders, staff, contractors, vendors, and customers and the outside CPA Firm.
Responsibilities Include

• Full cycle project accounting including cash applications, accounts payable and PO maintenance

• Cash flow management including bank reconciliations.
