Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day financial operations, including AP, AR and general accounting tasks.
• Process payroll for approximately 60 employees bi-weekly.
• Prepare and report on monthly and quarterly financial performance.
• Ensure accuracy of all financial numbers and resolve discrepancies.
• Comprehend and manage job costing and project-based accounting across different business divisions (office, shop, road).
• Utilize Sage accounting software for all financial processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a hands-on controller role for a similar size organization.
• Accuracy with numbers is paramount.
• Experience with job costing/project-based accounting is highly preferred.
• Ability to comprehend business aspects.
• Proficiency with Sage is an asset.
