Job summary

RECRUITMENT PARTNERS INC. in Calgary seeks a seasoned Controller to oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls for the group of entities and trusts. You will lead day-to-day finance, mentor the bookkeeper, and ensure accurate records and timely reporting.

CPA designation is required, with prior industry experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, strong analytical ability, and meticulous attention to detail to drive accountability and profitability

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP, AR, cash flow, and payment approval processes.
• Monitor collections and manage customer aging proactively.
• Manage inventory accuracy, costing, and variance investigations.
• Provide margin and profitability reporting across key segments.
• Maintain clean financials for all entities, corporations, and trusts.
• Track, reconcile, and report intercompany transactions and balances.
• Prepare year-end packages and maintain organized financial documentation.
• Manage the bookkeeper, improve processes, and ensure accountability.
• Oversee payroll administration, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.
• Manage contracts, insurance, property-related matters, and key vendor relationships.

Reporting to the owner, this role is responsible for leading the organization's financial management function. The successful candidate will own the day-to-day financial operations and reporting for the entire group, including the operating company, related corporations, and trusts. They will also provide leadership to the bookkeeper, ensuring all financial records are accurate, organized, and maintained in a timely manner.
