Job summary

RECRUITMENT PARTNERS INC. seeks an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations, reporting, and internal controls in Calgary. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, ensuring accurate statements and insightful analysis for executive decisions.

You will own NetSuite-based reporting and project accounting, drive process improvements, and partner with senior leadership to support growth and compliance with ASPE. CPA preferred; 7+ years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant roles.
• Experience in project-based industries such as construction, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial services.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and project accounting principles.
• NetSuite experience and advanced Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead end-to-end financial close process, including reconciliations and schedules.
• Maintain accountability for the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
• Present financial results, variance analysis, and key trends to senior leadership.
• Own and optimize NetSuite to support financial reporting, project accounting, and business growth.
• Drive continuous improvement of NetSuite workflows, controls, reporting, and system integrations.
