• This position is for a Control Room Operator based at Royal Bank Plaza in downtown Toronto.

About The Role

You will act as a building systems expert, identifying deficiencies and opportunities for improvement. You will ensure that tenants have a safe and comfortable work environment for Royal Bank Plaza and be responsible for operating and maintaining all building equipment and systems. Your work will uphold all quality standards on a 12‑hour rotating Continental shift, alternating between two weeks of day shift (7:00 am–7:00 pm) and two weeks of night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am). Weekend and statutory holiday coverage will be required if the scheduled shift falls on those days, and overtime may be required.

• You build positive working relationships with tenants and team members, sharing expertise and collaborating as a group.
• You work with minimal supervision and bring your technical expertise to a high‑performing team.
• You are comfortable working with technology and seek innovative ways to enhance processes.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum of 5–10 years of related experience in building operations and maintenance of commercial assets such as data centers and/or Class A+ office buildings.
• BES 1&2 or 4th Class Power Engineer certificate.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, identify opportunities, and develop/implement action plans.
• Proficient use of a Building Automation System.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and be responsive to time‑sensitive tasks.
• Flexible working hours and ability to respond to emergencies after hours.
• Downtown Toronto office experience.
