Detailed Description

12-Month Contract

The individual in this role will be responsible for consulting with management personnel to assess staffing needs, develop specific plans for our intern recruitment cycles, and actively participate in behavioral based screening/selection process to fulfill requirements. Assists with conducting training programs for managers designed to improve recruiting results (i.e., hiring in alignment with skills, attributes, behavior requirements, process efficiencies and reduce turnover). Manages external relationships with recruitment vendors and candidate sourcing channels (i.e., college/university campus personnel, recruitment agencies, community outreach activities, etc.) Tracks and reports on resourcing results and develops/implements plans for continuous process improvements.

Knowledge, Skills, And Competencies

  • Sound knowledge of HR policies, practices, and government legislation impacting the practice of human resources management.
  • Ability to consult with a variety of internal and external customers to provide an end-to-end resourcing service.
  • Ability to develop an appropriate sourcing solution, post positions internally and externally, do telephone screening, conduct behavioural interviews, help a manager negotiate an appropriate job offer and conduct the necessary due diligence checks upon extension of job offer.
  • Effectively project manage and time manage to prioritize work in a manner that allows for timely completion of staffing assignments or related projects.
  • Ability to manage sensitive employee information in a confidential manner.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Applicant Tracking software.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Team player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are generally performed in a standard office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience

Two to four years of relevant staffing and human resources experience.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Educational requirements may vary by geography.
