Job summary

Vermilion Energy invites applications for a Contract Operator position at its Drayton Valley, Alberta site. You will operate, monitor, and test oil and gas wells per Vermilion and regulatory guidelines, reporting to the Area Foreman and supporting production optimization.

The role requires 2+ years' industry experience, a valid driver’s license, and safety training (First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive). Proficiency with Prodview and electronic flow measurement is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production operator experience
• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environment expectations
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Formal operational safety training including First Aid/ CPR and H2S Alive

Responsibilities

• Inspect and adjust wells; perform routine maintenance to ensure safe operations
• Optimize and troubleshoot daily well production; propose improvements
• Test gas, condensate/oil and water production daily; balance data and reporting
