Job summary

Penske Logistics Canada Ltd. is seeking a Load Planner to support the development of the logistics design plan for the customer inbound supply chain network in Kitchener, Ontario.

The role creates instructions for internal teams and customer providers to execute the plan and identifies efficiency opportunities with data-driven proposals. The position is a contract to 14–20 months with a Monday–Friday day shift and flexibility to support business needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferred.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel and Outlook skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and operate multiple computer systems across different platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develops day-to-day route design deliverables for the customer to conform with internal policies and prevailing regulations.
• Supports coordination of the logistics systems implementation with the customer, customer’s suppliers, transportation suppliers and Penske team members.
• Develops and maintains cross-dock logistics tools and services.
• Provides data/information for management reporting on departmental performance.
• Utilizes customer’s electronic data interchange.
• Supports data-driven decisions with input into management reporting.
• Other projects as assigned by the supervisor.
