Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Human Resource Business Partner for a 12-month contract in Toronto, Ontario. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Human Resource Generalist.
  • Experience in Food Service Operations is an asset.
  • Strong integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Description:

The Human Resource Partner is a Business Partner role that provides HR leadership across all lines of business within the Eastern GTA region of Aramark Canada.

This is a 12-month contract role.

As a day-to-day partner with the business, the field HR Business Partner works with District Managers and their teams, providing HR leadership, expertise, and support in areas such as engagement, change management, employee and labour relations, talent management, workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, leadership development, and HR policy administration and compliance.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Human Resources (Central & East), with a dotted line reporting to the District Managers in the Central Region.

Job Responsibilities

Talent Management:

  • Supports employee engagement survey participation and action planning
  • Promote, educate, and support training on our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives
  • Recruitment, Selection, and Retention
  • Develop recruitment and retention strategies for hourly associates.
  • Strategically build regional-specific guidelines to support talent sourcing
  • Support operations with hourly hiring, especially during high volume or urgent needs
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition COE for recruiting salaried employees

Employee and Union Relations

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and Provincial Employment legislation
  • Act as an HR resource for employees
  • Ensure collective agreement terms are followed and guide managers on interpretation
  • Provide information and assistance in collective agreement negotiations
  • Advise on progressive discipline and performance management issues
  • Support leaves of absence and return-to-work programs, including STD, LTD, WSIB
  • Conduct investigations, develop, and implement recommendations
  • Implement, communicate, and ensure compliance with company and client policies and procedures
  • Provide solutions to complex employment situations
  • Support Occupational Health and Safety programs and policies

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent
  • CHRP designation required; CHRL considered an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Human Resource Generalist
  • Experience in Food Service Operations is an asset
  • Experience in employee/labour relations
  • Strong integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Professionalism and diplomacy at all organizational levels
  • Presentation skills for orientation and training
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to travel 2-3 times weekly; vehicle and driver’s license required
