Job description

As an HR Business Partner at Vantage, you will be pivotal in shaping our company culture and supporting our employees throughout various stages of growth. This generalist role encompasses a broad range of HR functions, including HRIS administration, employee benefits, employee relations, performance management, talent development, payroll, and strategic HR initiatives. You will work closely with executive leadership and people managers to align with business objectives, foster employee engagement, and build an inclusive, high-performing workplace. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional adept at managing multiple HR projects and contributing to the company’s operational HR efforts.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Employee Relations : Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.
  • Performance Management : Assist in the implementation and management of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Talent Development : Support the development and execution of learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth within the company.
  • HR Analytics : Utilize HR data to provide data-informed insights and recommendations to leadership on trends, challenges, and opportunities within the workforce.
  • HRIS Administration : Manage and maintain the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy, processing employee changes, generating reports, and optimizing system functionality to meet organizational needs.
  • Compensation & Benefits : Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness and alignment with company strategy.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion : Contribute to DEI initiatives and help foster a diverse, inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and supported.
  • HR Compliance : Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, and assist in maintaining accurate employee records. Partner to develop HR-related policies.
  • Culture & Engagement : Partner to drive a positive and engaging company culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives and communications.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist / HRBP role, preferably in a fast-paced startup or tech environment. Payroll certification and / or experience would be an asset but not required.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills :

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Experience with People-related Analytics and familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and best practices.
  • Experience with the implementation and management of employee development initiatives.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead HR projects and initiatives.
  • Experience with employee relations, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work culture.
