Douglas College’s Faculty of Applied Community Studies is seeking contract faculty instructors for the Early Childhood Education Diploma program. You will teach and mentor students, delivering learner-centred instruction across in-person and online formats.
With a Master’s degree (Doctorate preferred) and substantial ECE experience, you will plan lessons, supervise practicum, and collaborate with colleagues to uphold the college’s reputation as BC’s top employer.
Hourly: $60.81-$121.63/hour; Per Three Credit Course: $8,431; Actual salary or hourly rate will be based on the number of credits and term of appointment according to the Collective Agreement.

The Early Childhood Education Department in the Faculty of Applied Community Studies is hiring contract faculty instructors. You will instruct students in the Department of Early Childhood Education. The Department offers a two-year diploma program that prepares students for basic ECE certification as well as certification as a Special Needs Educator. Students may also complete a post-diploma citation in Infant-Toddler Care.
You will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress in the Early Childhood Education Diploma program. You will plan, organize and manage learning activities and resources, provide academic advice to learners and maintain high quality learner-centred instruction. Further contracts may be awarded in the future.
