Job summary

Douglas College’s Faculty of Applied Community Studies is seeking contract faculty instructors for the Early Childhood Education Diploma program. You will teach and mentor students, delivering learner-centred instruction across in-person and online formats.

With a Master’s degree (Doctorate preferred) and substantial ECE experience, you will plan lessons, supervise practicum, and collaborate with colleagues to uphold the college’s reputation as BC’s top employer.

Qualifications

• You have a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field and preferably a Doctorate.
• You can teach applied knowledge and skills to post-secondary students in ECE.
• You have extensive direct experience with young children and supervisory experience is a plus.
• You are proficient with online teaching platforms and educational technology.

Responsibilities

• You will instruct students in the Early Childhood Education Diploma program
• You will plan, organize and manage learning activities and resources
• You will provide academic advice to learners and maintain learner-centred instruction
