Job summary

TO Live in Toronto is seeking an experienced Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination and execution of corporate, private and internal events within the Patron & Events Services team on a full-time contract (minimum 1-year).

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Events, you will collaborate with the Executive Chef, Senior Manager of Food & Beverage, and TO Live’s Sales Managers to manage budgets, vendor coordination, menu planning, health and safety, and staffing to deliver

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in event management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in a unionized environment.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Momentus knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute all operational aspects of corporate, private and internal events.
• Manage event planning and logistics, including client meetings, budgets, and vendor sourcing.
• Coordinate event supplies, services, and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and clients on menu planning.
• Plan and oversee event space layouts and health and safety compliance.
• Assist in planning TO Live internal receptions and meetings.
• Determine staffing levels for food service and bar.
• Ensure safety regulations are observed by all staff.
• Work with Sales Manager to keep costs within budget.
