Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Milverton, ON, is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant or RECE to join our two-location team (Matheson East and Milverton). You will work alongside teachers to provide a home-away-from-home for children while supporting instruction and daily care.

The role requires a high school diploma, current First Aid/CPR, and adherence to provincial childcare requirements. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities within the Busy Bees global community.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required with preferred ECA certification.
• First Aid and infant CPR are current and valid.
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• Experience planning and implementing programs in childcare is preferred.
• 1 year of childcare experience or with children who have delays preferred.
• Reliable transportation to work at two locations (Matheson East and Milverton).

Responsibilities

• Assist RECEs with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
• Interact with children to promote engagement in activities.
• Build collaborative relationships with staff, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as needed.
• Support daily operations and classroom material management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities: Candidates are accountable for own transportation. This position will be between two locations. Matheson East and Milverton. One centre in the morning and second centre in the afternoon.

As an Early Childhood Assistant or Registered Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting RECE’s with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School/Equivalent required, Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred
• Must meet province requirement for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.
