Job summary

Architecture49 seeks an experienced construction project lead based in the Greater Toronto Area. The role focuses on site visits, quality control, shop drawing support, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex transportation and civic projects in Ontario.

You will engage with BIM workflows (REVIT, AutoCAD) and ensure constructability and code compliance across drawings and specifications. Strong communication in English and French is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience focused on the construction phase.
  • Strong building envelope knowledge and codes understanding.
  • Ontario construction practices familiarity.
  • Contract administration training or credentials are a plus.
  • French communication skills are an asset.
  • Knowledge of BIM, REVIT, AutoCAD, MS 365, Bluebeam and Adobe Reader.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and travel to conduct site visits throughout the Greater Toronto Area, attend site meetings, oversee site activities and provide quality control
  • Assisting with project progress and site reports
  • Assist with shop drawings, answering Contractor requests for information and issuing contract changes
  • Assist with quality control/constructability reviews on drawings and specifications
  • Collaborating and coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience with a focus on the construction phase of projects
  • Sound technical and building envelope knowledge, strong understanding of codes, and familiarity with Ontario construction practices
  • Recognized credentials from a construction contract administration course or other equivalent training considered an asset
  • Ability to effectively communicate and deliver services in French considered an asset
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows; REVIT software; AutoCAD software; Microsoft 365 environment; and Bluebeam and Adobe Reader

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $80,800 - 107,000
MB & ON: $73,700 - 101,500
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $73,000 - 96,900
