The
Contract Administrator is responsible for managing and overseeing company contracts to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, support business operations and business development efforts. This role involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and maintaining contracts with key customers while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and an ability to build strong relationships.

Responsibilities
- In conjunction with finance, engineering, and operations prepare cost estimates and pricing proposals.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Forge relationship with all major customers to develop and close other business opportunities.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Act as a point of contact for contract-related inquiries and provide guidance on contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, procurement, and other departments to ensure contract terms align with business objectives.
- Maintain a centralized repository for contracts, ensuring proper documentation, tracking, and version control.
- Monitor contract deadlines, deliverables, and renewal dates, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks within contract terms and advise management on risk exposure.
- Assist in dispute resolution and contract modifications as needed.
- Support audits and reporting requirements by providing necessary contract documentation.
- Continuously improve contract management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Contract Administrator or in a similar role.
- Certification in contract management (e.g. Certified Professional Contract Manager-CPCM) would be considered an asset
- Experience working in industries such as construction, manufacturing, legal or Government contracting
- Strong understanding of contract law, terms, and conditions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and with cross functional teams driving results.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Previous experience developing strong business relationships with customers.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
