Job summary

AGI - Ag Growth International in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to lead lean manufacturing initiatives across safety, quality, delivery and cost performance.

You will coordinate cross-functional CI projects, implement tools such as 5S, Standard Work and Visual Management, and analyze data to drive measurable improvements while promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or continuous improvement.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Eager to learn and develop Continuous Improvement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Coordinate and participate in continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Assist with the implementation and sustainability of Lean Manufacturing tools, including 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, and Problem-Solving Methodologies.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze production and operational data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational performance.
  • Assist in conducting time studies and observing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support process mapping activities and document current and future-state processes.
  • Participate in root cause analysis activities using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and other structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Assist with evaluating manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflow improvements.
  • Support implementation plans for approved process improvement initiatives.
  • Track project progress and help ensure action items are completed on schedule.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard work documentation and operating procedures.
  • Support employee training initiatives related to Lean principles, standardized work, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Help maintain visual management systems and workplace organization standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Support health and safety improvement initiatives by participating in workplace observations, assessments, and corrective action activities.

The Opportunity
Continuous Improvement Coordinator leads the lean manufacturing process through the facilitation of continuous improvement efforts in quality, cost, delivery times, morale, and safety initiatives.
