Job summary

MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm serving Indigenous Nations, businesses, and entrepreneurs across Canada. This Senior Manager role sits within Indigenous Economic Development and Major Projects, offering the opportunity to apply financial expertise in a community-focused context and to work closely with community partners to co-create solutions.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in a senior role at an Indigenous economic development corporation, law, investment banking finance/accounting, financial modeling, or consulting.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or organizations.
  • CBV, CPA, CFA, or AFM and strong financial acumen considered an asset.
  • Demonstration of advanced project management skills and tactics.
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead economic development initiatives with Indigenous communities, including investment analysis; partnership negotiation support; major project transaction negotiation; investment strategy development; economic development corporation re-structuring and development of associated governance tools
  • Develop and interpret financial models to support informed decision making for investments and partnerships
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
  • Support proposal development, client engagement, and business development activities
  • Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client’s business
  • Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Make an impact as a strategic, community-focused Senior Manager with our Indigenous Economic Development and Major Projects team.

You’ll work closely with community partners to co-create solutions that reflect Indigenous values, priorities, and long-term goals. This is a dynamic opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a meaningful, community-driven context.

Key Responsibilities
