What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s Digital Analytics and Integration team, reporting to the Director, the Consultant, Digital Analytics & Integration is responsible for contributing to projects that impact the business through in-depth research analysis, interpretation, documentation, and advice on moderately complex business information. The Consultant will be a subject matter expert on process improvements, leading the technical development to deliver high quality processes and procedures while ensuring compliance with CIBC requirements, standards, work practices, processes, security standards, and policies. The role involves using independent judgment to guide project teams, applying a comprehensive understanding of the area of specialization to various business and technical situations, and analyzing business performance. The role also includes participation in risk management and cost optimization projects, supporting the execution of risk plans that incorporate successful audits and ongoing monitoring.

How you'll succeed
  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Collaborate with business partners to gather complex requirements, facilitate solution design discussions, and ensure project needs are met. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen actively, and ask the right questions.
  • Solution Design - Develop client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents, support project implementation as a subject matter expert, and guide diverse teams. Maintain a collaborative environment and resolve operational and process issues.
  • Organization - Manage requests from stakeholders and create or edit presentation and communication materials such as key messages, communication plans, and reports.
  • Communication - Exhibit superior interpersonal and communication skills to convey detailed and conceptual information effectively.
  • Production Support - Investigate and resolve issues reported by the business, collaborating with developers when necessary.
Who you are
  • Education: Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, or related field, with at least 3 years leading projects and designing solutions. Experience with Agile, Application, or Architecture Development is a plus.
  • Financial Knowledge: Understanding of financial markets, including stocks, options, fixed income, and mutual funds. Familiarity with financial product concepts like bond amortization, accrued income, expected income, and yields.
  • Data Skills: Ability to interpret complex data, communicate detailed information effectively, and experience with Adobe/Google Analytics, SQL, Azure DevOps, QA, and advanced Excel.
  • Personal Attributes: Team-oriented, client-focused, values trust, teamwork, and accountability, and lives the company's values.
