CIBC seeks a Consultant, Application Development (Payments) to design, develop, and maintain web applications across payment platforms. This senior role combines front-end and back-end work, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions with strong API design and secure interfaces.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of Java development experience.
• GoLang knowledge is a plus.

This role is a senior technical expert responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of complex web applications. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, ensuring seamless integration of user experience, design, and functionality. Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, and debugging.* **Systems Implementation-** Participate in the technical design, development, and integration of cross functional, multi-platform application systems.* **Planning and Coordination-** Effectively interact with team members, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications as instructed by senior team members. **Who you are** * **You can demonstrate 6-8 years experience in.** Java (Java EE/Java SE) development ability and good knowledge of GoLang would be an asset. Ideally you are familiar with Containerization (Docker), Azure Cloud Services (Azure SQL, Databricks, ADLS, Event Hub, ADF), PostgreSQL, Kubernetes (or Red Hat OpenShift), Web Services/API, Web Security, Networking and Unix.
