Job summary

Con-Tech is seeking a reliable Shop/Yard Worker to support daily construction operations by maintaining the yard, organizing materials and equipment, and assisting with loading/unloading. Join a team-focused, safety-conscious culture in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include keeping the shop and yard clean, assisting with inventory control, and performing basic equipment maintenance. This role supports crews and requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, yard, or labour is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license is required; 1A is an asset.
• Forklift or equipment experience is an asset.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shop and yard.
• Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with inventory control and material tracking.
• Prepare tools, equipment, and supplies for crews and projects.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Operate forklifts, telehandler, skid steers, or other yard equipment.
• Assist mechanics and field crews as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Complete general labour duties and seasonal yard maintenance.
