What You'll Do
- Perform precise surveying for earthmoving, concrete, sewer, watermain, and ICI projects from initial layout to final as-builts.
- Establish line and grade for excavation crews, ensuring accurate placement of utilities and structures.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, foremen, and crews to provide timely and accurate survey data.
- Maintain detailed records and prepare survey reports, drawings, and documentation as required.
- Operate modern survey equipment including total stations, GPS systems, and laser levels with precision and care.
- Adapt to various project types across our diverse portfolio of heavy civil construction work.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3-5 years of experience in construction surveying, preferably in heavy civil or utility construction.
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, construction practices, and safety regulations.
- Experience with modern survey equipment and software applications (AutoCAD, Civil 3D an asset).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with construction crews.
- Problem-solving skills to address field challenges and coordinate with project teams.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
