Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Scheduler to develop and maintain complex project schedules, support planning efforts, identify schedule risks, and provide insights to project teams for successful outcomes.

You will collaborate with estimators, field supervision, subcontractors and clients, leveraging Primavera P6 and 3D/4D tools to optimize sequencing and delivery. Minimum 3 years in scheduling preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industry experience.
• 1-4 years of dedicated planning and scheduling with direct hire trades and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts and proposals.
• Experience with field construction operations and sequencing of work through all project phases.
• Ability to complete quantity take-offs and understand productivity rates with scheduling.
• Advanced understanding of planning and scheduling principles, best practices and techniques.
• Strong communication and ability to present complex scheduling information to stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with stakeholders.
• Understands project controls and procedures.
• Prepares quantity take-offs and incorporates production analysis into the schedule; reviews forecast to validate schedule.
• Communicates with site staff and subcontractors to determine progress and provide updates.
• Presents schedule updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Performs site walks to audit short- and long-term plans and follows up with project team.
• Supports planning and scheduling across project phases.
• Facilitates planning and scheduling sessions with stakeholders.
• Assists management to create and monitor short-term schedules and assess impact on master schedule.
• Identifies schedule delays and communicates impacts to the baseline schedule.
• Creates and maintains estimating and project schedules for the team.
