Job summary

EllisDon in Ottawa, Canada is seeking a Quality Coordinator to plan and support verification activities across assigned scopes. You will confirm drawings, specs, RFIs, and benchmarks are in place and escalate gaps early to avoid delays.

You will help implement the Quality Program, perform field reviews, monitor deficiencies, maintain traceable records, and communicate status to the Quality Lead and project team on an ongoing basis, contributing to project success and compliance.

Qualifications

• Construction-related diploma, degree, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in construction, quality, inspection, project coordination, or document control is an asset.
• Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Experience using construction management or project documentation software is an asset.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the Government of Canada security clearance required for assigned projects.
• The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000.

Responsibilities

• Plan and Support Verification – Confirm that approved drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, benchmarks, and other prerequisites are in place before verification.
• Support Quality Program Implementation – Conduct field reviews to ensure controls, inspections, testing, hold points, checklists, and benchmarks are used as planned.
• Review and Communicate – Review inspection records, testing results, checklists, and field documentation for completeness and connection to the work scope; provide status updates and communicate risks.
• Maintain Quality Records – Build and maintain complete, organized verification packages and turnover records; resolve documentation gaps to support turnover and closeout.
