Job description

Erosion Control Central Ltd. (ECC) is an industry leader in erosion and sediment control in Western Canada. We are a rapidly expanding company with lots of opportunities for our employees to advance. We are looking for the BEST people to join our team. At ECC we design, monitor, implement and maintain Erosion and Sediment Control measures to support environmental protection and to help our clients’ avoid regulatory non-compliance scenarios. ECC is currently looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing Edmonton operations.

This is a fast-paced role managing multiple projects and crews on a daily basis plus working with our Inspections group to ensure that quality projects are being delivered to our clients.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Planning the work to be completed, getting the necessary personnel, and assigning the right duties to the right people
  • Hiring new staff and mentoring existing staff to provide growth opportunities
  • Ensuring timely completion of projects to premier standards
  • Working within the budget by adequately estimating the costs and cutting unnecessary expenses
  • Managing both internal and external risks within the project’s lifetime
  • Maintain ongoing client relations

Skills And Qualifications

  • Ability to lead a team by being a positive and effective communicator
  • Excellence in building rapport and creating a team environment where all those with project responsibilities work well together
  • Ability to maintain a high level of organization by ensuring daily job allocation
  • Excellence in planning how each process should be done, how resources are to be acquired, and when the project should be completed
  • Ability to determine potential risks while devising proactive ways to solve them
  • Excellence in the project budgeting of financial resources
  • Ability to welcome feedback and use it to improve the quality of production
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read maps and construction drawings
  • Experience with Excel, Word, Bluebeam
  • Valid class 5 Drivers license with a clean abstract
  • Previous ESC, Civil, or Landscaping experience would be an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
