Job summary

Wright Construction Western Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a Full Time Project Coordinator to assist with planning, tendering, subcontracting, and project deliverables for construction projects.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will prepare work plans, manage schedules, maintain project files, and ensure timely communication with trades, suppliers, and the owner. Strong teamwork, organization, and CAD/Timberline familiarity are valued.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications include an Architectural Technology Diploma, Engineering Degree, or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with time management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience in Commercial, Industrial, and/or Institutional construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare work plans for projects.
  • Assist with tender and award processes.
  • Assist with preparation of subcontracts and schedules.
  • Maintain project files and logs, and update contract drawings.
  • Attend and prepare minutes for project meetings.
  • Deliverables coordination and turnover to Owner at project completion.

We have an exciting opportunity available – We are seeking a Full Time Project Coordinator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Project Manager, Project Coordinators assist in the management of construction projects to ensure a project is completed on time and within budget and that the project's objectives are met. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare work plans for projects on which he/she has been assigned.
  • Assist with tender and award processes as required.
  • Assist with preparation of subcontracts.
  • Assist PM and Superintendent prepare manpower and activity schedules.
  • Implement the approved project work plan.
  • Establish and Maintain project files.
  • Ensure Project Collaborator and Timberline are up to date with most recent information.
  • Update and maintain contract drawings and logs; distribute to trades as required.
  • Attend and prepare minutes for project subcontractor meetings.
  • Provide document turnover to Owner at project completion as appropriate.
  • Collection and assembly of project Operation & Maintenance manuals.
  • Assist the project manager with contract changes as required.
  • Deliverables – Expedite subcontractor shop drawings, samples, materials etc.
  • Assist with preparation of a deliverables list (specification review).
  • Request deliverables, submit and distribute as required.
  • Maintain deliverable logs (for submittals and samples etc).

Qualifications: Architectural Technology Diploma, Engineering Degree, or equivalent.

Required Skills:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in Commercial, Industrial, and/or Institutional construction is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Timberline Software, and BIM Software.

  • Strong code of ethics and integrity.
  • Shows tact, diplomacy, and discretion in handling information of confidential and/or sensitive nature.
  • Must be able to work well within a team setting and contribute to team success.
