Job summary

York Group is seeking a Project Administrator to support all facets of the organization, with a focus on insurance, utility applications, and permits. You will coordinate insurance, prepare and track utility service applications, and manage permitting from application to final inspection while supporting day-to-day project administration.

The role requires collaboration with project managers and stakeholders, managing multiple deadlines, and ensuring documentation control.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of project or general administrative experience.
  • Experience managing permit applications and inspections is an asset.
  • Experience with construction insurance certificates and related documents is an asset.
  • Familiarity with utility service applications and providers is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers, site superintendents and project team to ensure seamless execution and clear communication.
  • Manage daily office activities for construction projects and handle inquiries from clients, vendors and employees.
  • Coordinate project insurance coverage (builder's risk, wrap-up, liability) and support claims with documentation.
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor compliance and flag non-compliant coverage to teams.
  • Prepare and submit utility service and meter applications and development/building/permit applications.
