MB Recruitment Canada is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join a Construction client's finance team in Metro Vancouver. The role focuses on project-specific financial activities, accurate record-keeping, budgeting support, and reporting.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with accounting software, especially QuickBooks Online, and can manage AP/AR, reconciliations, and cost accounting across multiple projects while collaborating with auditors and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Construction industry experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable and reconciliations.
• Experience with budgeting, auditing, and financial analysis.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with project-based accounting and collaboration with auditors.

Responsibilities

• Manage AP/AR for multiple projects with timely processing and accuracy.
• Record transactions using QuickBooks Online and generate reports.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze project Budgets, monitor expenses, and assist forecasting.
• Support auditing processes with necessary documentation and policy compliance.
• Handle bookkeeping tasks including ledgers, journal entries, and cost accounting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
