Job summary

Trans Mountain Corporation in Calgary is seeking a Traffic Engineer (East) for the Pacific Link project on a contract basis. You will develop and monitor traffic-management strategies to support safe pipeline construction, coordinating with the Pipeline Project Manager, Construction Manager, and regulatory teams.

The role requires a Civil/Transportation Engineering background, a P.Eng. designation is an asset, and typically 5+ years in traffic planning, control, and road construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• P.Eng. designation or eligibility is considered an asset.
• Approximately 5 or more years of relevant experience in traffic management, traffic control, transportation safety, road construction or major infrastructure construction.

Responsibilities

• Identify adequate access roads for construction crews.
• Develop engineered traffic-management and traffic-control plans for pipeline sections.
• Conduct traffic impact assessments for construction activities.
• Assess volumes, capacities, and safety along project corridor.
• Design temporary traffic control plans for road crossings and lane closures.
• Coordinate with municipalities, provincial agencies, Indigenous governments, emergency services, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and project permits throughout the project duration.
