Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Construction Manager on behalf of a reputable local residential builder. This leadership role involves overseeing daily site operations, coordinating trades, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee construction schedules and site operations through regular walk-throughs and progress tracking.
2. Coordinate with Site Superintendents, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep builds on track.
3. Manage site services (utilities, drainage, connections) and resolve delays or unforeseen conditions.
4. Lead inspections and quality control to ensure compliance with building codes and specifications.
5. Enforce site safety protocols, conduct hazard assessments, and manage incident reporting.
6. Monitor budgets, approve invoices, and work with procurement teams to optimize resources.
7. Mentor site teams, provide performance feedback, and support succession planning.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, or Construction Engineering (preferred).
2. Certifications such as Gold Seal (GSC), PMP, COR/NCSO, First Aid/CPR are assets.
3. Proven leadership experience in residential construction.
4. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
