Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Construction Coordinator Technologist Co-op for a Winter 2027 term, reporting to the Lead Construction Services, Water Business Unit, and supporting projects from the Mississauga office in a hybrid office/site environment.

You will assist with site technical issues, manage construction documentation, monitor activities for quality and safety, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare punch lists, and contribute to a collaborative, diverse team.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an Engineering Technology program in Construction Management or Civil, Electrical, I&C, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with site technical issues
  • Manage construction documentation between the Constructor and the Engineer, such as submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure quality, schedule adherence and compliance with drawings and codes through inspections
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with field material requisitions
  • Prepare punch lists
  • Maintain high safety awareness and ensure tasks meet safety standards

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Assist with site technical issues
  • Manage construction documentation between the Constructor and the Engineer, such as submittals, shop drawings, and Requests for Information
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure quality, project schedule adherence and compliance with drawings, and specifications and codes, through regular inspections
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with the preparation of field material requisitions
  • Prepare punch lists
  • Maintain the highest level of safety awareness and ensure all tasks are completed to the highest safety standards

You bring to the role:

  • Enrolled in a Engineering Technology program in Construction Management or Civil, Electrical, I&C, or Mechanical Engineering program, from an accredited College
  • Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community

Compensation:

Range: $24.00 - $27.00

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location. In addition to base pay, our total rewards package may include performance-based incentives, comprehensive benefits, and other programs designed to support your well-being and growth.
