Job summary

JMJ Rock Forming Inc. is seeking workers to load and unload construction materials on-site in Ontario. The role involves measuring weights for rigging, operating cranes, reading blueprints, and performing routine site maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The position requires 2–3 years of experience and a high school graduation certificate. All duties are to be performed at the physical job site with no remote option.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation required.
• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials.
• Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting.
• Perform pre-operational inspection.
• Read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• Clean and lubricate cranes.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades.
• Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications.
• Pave and rake asphalt.
• Assist in demolishing buildings.
• Clean and pile salvaged materials.
• Perform routine maintenance work.
• Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
