Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Diploma in OH&S.
  • Pursuing safety designation.
  • Minimum 3 years in a related industry.
  • Knowledge of OH&S and environmental legislation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Ability to apply conflict resolution with craft workers.
  • Ability to build stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; quick to adopt new tech.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and assists with HSE Plan implementation and safety practices.
  • Identifies and assists in project-specific HSE training.
  • Provides HSE information and trends to the project team.
  • Assists with hazard identification tools development.
  • Conducts HSE inspections and verifies corrective actions.
  • Supports emergency response plan and project security requirements.
  • Gathers and reviews trade documentation for safety compliance.
  • Verifies equipment and tool inspections are documented.
