Job summary

Flatiron Construction Corp on Surrey, BC, seeks an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead on-site safety programs across project sites in the District. You will analyze trends, ensure regulatory compliance, deliver orientations, and review procedures to protect workers and property.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Health & Safety, 8+ years in construction safety, and proven team leadership. You will mentor safety professionals, manage risk mitigation, and support emergency planning and

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction or safety required.
• Experience managing construction or safety teams.
• Able to train and mentor safety professionals.
• Identify onsite safety risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Strong knowledge of safety principles and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversees safety program and procedures for one or more project sites within the same District.
• Performs project site trend analysis and ensures tracking of incidents is accurate.
• Develops and conducts safety orientations, trainings and toolbox talks.
• Ensures all permits and certifications are active and tracked.
• Provides technical expertise for training, equipment and inspection needs.
• Oversees equipment maintenance and procurement for safety items.
• Provides project status and trend analysis to manager and team.
• Oversees injury reporting and investigation with corrective actions.
• Reviews DHA and participates in JHA discussions for the project plan.
• Creates or approves worksite safety and evacuation plans; supports emergency planning.
