Job description

Clintar Calgary is a large scale, commercial landscape construction and maintenance company currently seeking a hardworking, motivated landscape professional to add to our management team.

The Construction Field Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the daily operations of our growing construction division to efficiently produce the high-quality landscapes our clients expect. Directly supervise and instruct multiple foremen and crews to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality standards are achieved and continuously improved upon. Effectively manage resources including materials, inventory, equipment, labor, and training. Collaborate with the estimator and supporting management team regarding the planning and execution of won construction contracts, and the construction season schedule as a whole, to achieve budget targets. This position transitions into a Snow Supervisor role for the duration of the winter season. The Snow Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and support of multiple sidewalk crews and plows to ensure timely and efficient clearing of sidewalks and parking lots throughout the city and servicing multiple commercial clients.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction landscaping experience in a supervisory or management position.
2. Experience in the operation/installation/repair of commercial irrigation systems.
3. Extensive knowledge in reading and executing both landscape architectural and civil earthworks drawings and plans.
4. Ability to read grades as they translate into earthworks, both physical survey stakes and topographical drawings.
5. Strong leadership and management skills.
6. Background in heavy equipment operation.
7. 3+ years managing commercial snow removal crews.
8. A degree/diploma/trade certificate from a college or horticulture school is considered an asset.
