Job summary

The Government of Nunavut invites applications for a Conservation Officer II in Clyde River to deliver wildlife management, environmental protection, and renewable resource programs while enforcing territorial and federal legislation.

You will work closely with Hunters and Trappers Organizations, harvesters, communities, and partner agencies to promote conservation, public education, and responsible resource use. This is a highly sensitive position with a robust background check.

Qualifications

• College Diploma in Environmental Conservation or Renewable Resources Management required.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence required.
• Eligibility to obtain SVOP and PAL within six months.

Responsibilities

• Enforces wildlife and environmental legislation by conducting inspections, issuing licences and permits.
• Supports wildlife conservation and resource management with departmental research and collaboration with HTOs.
• Promotes public awareness and stewardship through education and training.
