The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) is seeking a Superintendent, Conservation Areas to lead daily operations at Wildwood Conservation Area. You will manage staff, budgets, and facilities while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in coordination with regional partners.

Based in St. Marys, Ontario, the role emphasizes leadership, environmental stewardship, and community engagement, with on-call responsibilities and weekend/evening hours as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Parks Management or related field required.
• Provincial Offences Officer designation required within 1 year.
• Small Drinking Water System designation required within 3 months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily conservation area operations, maintenance activities, and visitor services.
• Supervise, schedule, train, and support staff including full-time, seasonal, and part-time employees.
• Manage operational budgets, approve expenditures, and contribute to annual planning and revenue initiatives.
• Maintain facilities, infrastructure, lands, and recreational amenities.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and enforcement activities.
