Job summary

AIM Recycling is seeking a Security Officer to perform on-site duties across multiple locations in Canada. You will manage visitor control, patrol premises, and document incidents. The role requires bilingual (French and English) communication, a High School Diploma, and a clean criminal record.

Night and weekend shifts are required; training and safety gear provided. Remote options exist within Canada; base locations include Montreal and Laval.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Controlling entries and exits (visitors, employees, clients).
• Patrolling buildings, yards and locations (AIM Montréal and Laval).
• Ensuring protection of evidence in case of offenses.
• Responding to incidents (fires, medical emergencies, spillages) and writing reports.
• Locking/unlocking doors and performing searches as needed.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Security Officers Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for performing security duties on the work premises.

What you will be responsible for :

• Controlling entries and exits (visitors, employees, clients)
• Patrolling, on foot or by vehicle, the buildings as well as the yard (AIM Montréal and Laval)
• Ensuring the protection of evidence in the event of an offense
• Protecting the premises in case of an incident
• Intervening in case of fires, medical emergencies, bomb threats, floods, water leaks, or the presence of hazardous materials
• Writing reports and logs
• Locking and unlocking doors
• Conducting searches in case of suspicionPerforming any other related tasks

Qualifications

• You are able to work shifts: nights, weekends
• You have a high school diploma
• You have valid first aid certification
• You have a valid Class 5 driver’s license
• You are bilingual, French and English (written and spoken)
• You have a clean criminal record
• You have the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and rationally
• You have excellent judgment, observation, and communication skills
• You have completed a first aid course and hold your CPR card
