Job summary

AIM Recycling is seeking a Security Officer to perform surveillance and security duties at AIM Montréal and Laval facilities. You will safeguard premises, manage access, and respond to incidents with a calm, professional approach.

Responsibilities include patrolling, reporting, and ensuring safety, while delivering strong customer service to employees and clients. Shifts include nights and weekends, requiring a reliable, vigilant individual.

Qualifications

• You are bilingual in French and English, written and spoken.
• Valid security guard license and first aid certifications.
• High school diploma and CPR card are required.
• Class 5 driver’s license and ability to work nights/weekends.
• Good computer skills and calm decision-making under stress.

Responsibilities

• Control entries and exits for visitors, employees, and clients.
• Patrol buildings and yards, on foot or by vehicle.
• Ensure excellent customer service and secure premises.
• Write reports and logs; intervene in emergencies.
• Lock/unlock doors and conduct searches as needed.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Security Officers Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for performing security duties on the work premises.

What you will be responsible for :

• Controlling entries and exits (visitors, employees, clients)
• Patrolling, on foot or by vehicle, the buildings as well as the yard (AIM Montréal and Laval)
• Assuring excellent Customer service
• Ensuring the protection of evidence in the event of an offense
• Protecting the premises in case of an incident
• Intervening in case of fires, medical emergencies, bomb threats, floods, water leaks, or the presence of hazardous materials
• Writing reports and logs
• Crime prevention
• Locking and unlocking doors
• Conducting searches in case of suspicion
• Performing any other related tasks

Qualifications

• You are able to work shifts: nights, weekends
• You have a high school diploma
• You have a valid security guard license issued by the Bureau de la Sécurité Privée
• You have valid first aid certification
• You have a valid Class 5 driver’s license
• You are bilingual, French and English (written and spoken)
• You have a clean criminal record
• You have the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and rationally
• You have excellent judgment, observation, and communication skills
• You have completed a first aid course and hold your CPR card
• You have good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
