Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking an experienced payroll and HR manager in the Greater Toronto Area to lead payroll compliance, pension administration, and HR data governance. This role requires advanced knowledge of payroll legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements.

You will manage a team, work with HRMS systems and time and attendance, ensure internal controls, and provide reporting. Salary ranges from $118,000 to $148,000 per year, with discretionary bonuses and generous benefits.

• PCP or CPM designation required.
• Experience in large organizations and pension administration (DCPP).

About the Opportunity

• Advanced knowledge of payroll legislation, employment standards, statutory deductions, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of payroll accounting, including GL entries, accruals, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
• Working knowledge of pension administration, including defined contribution, profit-sharing, and legacy defined benefit plans.
• Solid understanding of HR master data, employee lifecycle transactions, and the application of HR policies.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, time and attendance, and HRMS systems, including data management, controls, integrations, and reporting.
• Understanding of internal control frameworks, including segregation of duties, governance requirements, and SOX compliance.

Salary Range

$118,000 - $148,000 /year
