Alberta condo management license

Job description

Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 + performance-based compensation

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Employment: Full-Time

Mission Management is growing, and we are looking for an experienced, licensed Condominium Manager to join our team. Individuals working through their license or have experience in the industry and are willing to take their license right away is also a good fit.

We have built our condominium management model differently than many traditional management companies.

Our Condominium Managers are primarily responsible for what they should be responsible for: their clients, their Boards, their properties, and providing excellent condominium management.

You will not be expected to do everything yourself.

Mission has dedicated support for project management, accounting, administration, site inspections, and other operational functions so our managers can spend more of their time managing relationships, making good decisions, communicating with Boards, and overseeing their portfolios.

If you are already working in the condominium management industry and enjoy the client-management side of the business but would like stronger support around you, we would like to speak with you.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As a Condominium Manager, you will be the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of condominium corporations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with condominium Boards
  • Advising Boards on day-to-day condominium operations and governance
  • Preparing for and attending Board meetings and AGMs
  • Reviewing financial information with Boards and supporting annual budgeting
  • Overseeing maintenance and operational matters for your properties
  • Identifying issues and helping Boards determine appropriate solutions
  • Coordinating with Mission's internal departments and specialized support teams
  • Maintaining clear, proactive communication with clients
  • Ensuring Board decisions and action items are followed through
  • Providing a high level of service and professionalism to our clients
  • Minor Maintenance Coordination
What You Won't Be Expected to Do Alone

We believe good managers perform better when they have the right infrastructure around them.

Mission has dedicated resources supporting:

  • Project Management – larger capital projects and complex project work
  • Accounting – financial reporting, payables, receivables, and accounting support
  • Administration – documentation, coordination, records, and administrative workflows
  • Site Support – property inspections and site-related reporting
  • Technology & Systems – tools and processes designed to reduce unnecessary administrative work

Your role is to remain accountable for the client relationship while using the broader Mission team to get the work done.

Who We're Looking For

We are specifically interested in candidates who:

  • Currently hold the appropriate Alberta condominium management license, willing to get it, or are in the process of getting it
  • Have experience managing condominium corporations or working for an organization who has
  • Are comfortable working directly with condominium Boards
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Have strong judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Can manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the clientTake ownership of commitments and follow through
  • Enjoy building long-term client relationships
  • Want to work as part of a team rather than operating as a manager on an island

Experience in the Edmonton condominium management market would be an asset.

Why Mission Management?

Mission Management is an established Edmonton property management company with a growing condominium management division.

We are continuing to invest in specialized departments, technology, additional support positions, and better processes because we believe the traditional model of asking one Condominium Manager to do everything is outdated.

For the right manager, this is an opportunity to join a growing company where you can focus more of your time on clients, leadership, communication, and condominium management while having a team behind you to help execute.
