Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a highly motivated Building Superintendent for an upscale condominium in Oakville, Ontario. The role may be live-in or live-out depending on the suite readiness, with potential progression to a Building Operations Manager for suitable experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with condominiums preferred; knowledge of BAS and building machinery (boilers, chillers, pool, etc.).
• Strong customer service experience with residents is essential.
• Familiarity with maintenance schedules and mechanical/environmental systems such as boiler, chiller, sprinkler, elevator rooms, and fire panel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment.
• Report deficiencies, maintenance requirements, vandalism, and supplies to the Property Manager.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with contractors and residents.
• Perform checks of mechanical rooms and manage waste.
• Familiarize yourself with all rooms and perform light repairs in common areas.
• Paint touch-ups and follow-up on requests; enforce condominium rules.
• Daily meetings with manager and maintain logs.
