Job summary

Concrete Way Inc. in Surrey is seeking a construction helper with at least one year of experience, specializing in jackhammers, concrete cutting and finishing support. You will assist finishers, help strip and form concrete, and participate in material handling on site.

The role requires physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment with heavy loads, under pressure, and on-site safety discipline. Relocation assistance and housing guidance are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a construction helper, including jackhammers, sledgehammers, concrete cutting and concrete saws.
• Experience assisting concrete finishers in stripping forms and forming.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete and asphalt.
• Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
• Assist concrete finishers in stripping and forming.
• Level earth to fine-grade specifications.

• Minimum of one year of experience as a construction helper, primarily working on Jackhammers, sledgehammers, concrete cutting, and concrete saws.
• Minimum of one year of experience helping Concrete finishers in stripping forms and forming

Education and Language requirements

• None
• $27.00 per hour, 30 hours per week
• Ten business days of vacation
• Emergency medical care
• Relocation travel tickets
• Providing guidelines and assistance in finding accommodation that costs less than $700 per month.
