Job summary

TELUS Health Care Centres in Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (Concierge Medicine) to provide nursing support directly to clients and coordinate care alongside the interdisciplinary team. The hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with a hybrid work approach.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with current license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• First Aid/BLS CPR certified and up to date.
• Ability to follow Medical Directives to safely administer vaccines per Ontario standards.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Professional communication with corporate clients.
• Ability to work well under pressure and show urgency.
• Autonomy and good judgement; experience in case management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Triaging clients with primary care concerns and flag red flags for urgent care; communicate with Medical Director and Clinic Operations Manager.
• Interact with patients on the phone; communicate results clearly.
• Handle administrative tasks: scheduling, faxing, reviewing lab results, discussing diagnostic results with clients and EMR.
• Process referrals and track their status efficiently.
• Serve as clinical resource to staff and train new personnel as appropriate.
• Potential to draw blood and administer vaccines in the Executive Health clinic.
• Maintain thorough documentation following Company and CNO standards.
• Provide individualized risk assessment and risk management information.
• Order medical and health supplies and restock handouts.
• Act as clinical resource during critical situations; follow-up with physician and Team Manager as needed.
