Job summary

The Community Health Centres of Northumberland are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for our Primary Care Clinic. You will work in an inter-disciplinary team to deliver clinical care, perform procedures, maintain records, and support administrative tasks.

Responsibilities include immunizations, venipuncture, wound/foot care, ECGs, specimen collection, and health education. Strong knowledge of EMR and telemedicine is preferred; Ontario standards apply.

Qualifications

• Performs a broad range of primary care nursing procedures following standards and directives.
• Supports health screening, patient preparation, referrals, and system navigation.
• Uses EMR, telemedicine, and data systems to support care and admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide immunizations, venipuncture, wound and foot care, ECG testing, and specimen collection.
• Assist with health screening, patient education, and referrals; coordinate appointments.
• Maintain accurate records and support equipment, supplies, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate Ontario Telemedicine Network appointments and interdisciplinary communication.
• Support community health outreach and program implementation.
